This is the site of comic book artist and illustrator Fiona Staples. My website is unavailable at the moment while I update some things, but feel free to check out the sketches and art in my blog below! I know, I know, it's too pink.

Red Sonja

It probably gets cold in the wastes of Hyrkania when you're wearing nothing but a metal bikini. Sometimes you have to just skin something!

No menstrual jokes please.

ROM Spaceknight

This ROM is for an upcoming Bill Mantlo tribute show/book put on by Floating World Comics in Portland. I was surprised and happy they asked me to be in it! Especially because I've never read ROM and my knowledge of him was limited to the following:

- ROM is a robot

Frazer: Inncorrect. ROM SPACEKNIGHT (tm) is in fact MOSTLY robot but has a tiny portion of his humanity still inside the cold mettalic shell that makes it so hard to love him like a man should be loved.

- maybe he was based on some crappy toy?

Frazer: Correct.

- he is from the '70s

Frazer: Well, the comic is from the 80's, which I guess is YOUR "70's", so I give u half-marks for that.

- he has the power of flight, possibly

Frazer: Correct. ROM SPACEKNIGHT (tm) does indeed fly.

- ROM is a knight

Frazer: This is debatable, seeing as knighthoods are generally bestowed upon brave individuals by a KING, and as yet I have yet to find out where their king is. I think they award them based purely on the grounds that they wear metal and fight, so they COULD be called Infantry instead.

- ROM is from space

Frazer: Wrong, he is from a Planet. But the PLANET is in space, so again I award you half-marks. You have won enough points to be credible at the ROM SPACEKNIGHT (tm) event.
